There are many ways to fix steel gratings, each of which has its specific application scenarios and advantages and disadvantages. 1. Welding fixation
1. Applicable scenarios: Suitable for permanent parts that do not need to be disassembled, especially for occasions with extremely high requirements for the stability of steel gratings, such as heavy industrial platforms, shelf platforms in large warehouses, etc. When the steel grating is in complex working conditions such as vibration and impact for a long time, welding fixation is also a better choice. However, it is relatively difficult to disassemble the steel grating after welding fixation. If part of the steel grating needs to be repaired or replaced later, it may cause certain damage to the surrounding structure.

2. Fixing with mounting clip

Applicable scenarios: The installation clamp fixing method is highly flexible and is suitable for occasions where the steel grating needs to be frequently disassembled and reinstalled, as well as scenarios where there are requirements for no welding spots or weld scars on the support beam, such as the maintenance platform of the sewage treatment plant, the operating platform of the chemical plant, etc. Made of hot-dip galvanized carbon steel or stainless steel, it is also suitable for places with high requirements for appearance, because the installation clamp fixing will not leave obvious welding marks on the surface of the steel grating like welding. Note that the installation clamp fixing should be checked frequently to prevent the installation clamp from loosening and falling off. It is best to weld or add rubber pads to the steel grating close to the vibration source.
2. Operation method: First, select the appropriate mounting clamp according to the size of the steel grating and the type of supporting structure. There are many types of mounting clamps, including type A (suitable for fixing a single steel grating), type B (for connecting and fixing adjacent steel gratings), etc. Finally, place the mounting clamp on the bearing rod of the steel grating, and after determining the position, tighten the mounting clamp with bolts and nuts. During the tightening process, pay attention to make the mounting clamp evenly clamp the bearing rod to avoid excessive local force. Finally, check the fixing of the mounting clamp to ensure that the steel grating is firmly installed and there is no looseness.
Retention Clip Type:
1. "A" Clips , can provide any mounting clip matching the steel grating model, this type of mounting clip is particularly suitable for fixing steel grating with H-beams and I-beams as the lap beams. Channel steel and angle steel (with appropriate orientation) can also use this type of clip, without drilling holes in the load-bearing beam.
2. "B" Clips can provide any mounting clips that match the steel grating model. This type of mounting clip can be used when two steel gratings need to be fixed. The steel grating lap beam is H-beam, I-beam, etc., and there is no need to drill holes in the load-bearing beam.
3. "C" Clips can provide any mounting clips that match the steel grating model. When the steel grating lap beam is square tube, channel steel, or angle steel, this mounting clip can be used. It can be equipped with self-tapping screws and needs to be fixed by drilling holes on the load-bearing beam.
4. "G" Clips , compared to "A" Clips , G clips are faster and easier to install, but they are more expensive.
5. "J" Clips are suitable for use when the load-bearing beam is a square tube, channel steel, or angle steel. Compared to "C" Clips , they do not require drilling holes in the load-bearing beam. There are two specifications: one is a right-angle J-type clip, and the other is an angled J-type clip. The angled J-type clip is suitable when the load-bearing rod faces outward.
6. “Z” Clips , particularly useful when securing riveted grating, are bolted to the load-bearing beams.
7. Weld Lugs can be used to fix grilles that need to be removed. Weld Lugs are welded to the steel grilles when they leave the factory and fixed with screws.
3. Cold nail fixation
1. Applicable scenarios: Suitable for situations where steel gratings need to be temporarily or permanently fixed. Use a nail gun to fix the steel gratings to the steel structure. No welding and drilling are required, and the installation efficiency is high. The installation with a nail gun will not damage the anti-corrosion layer of the steel grating, which is beneficial to extend the service life of the steel grating.
2. Operation method: Use a special nail shooter to fire nail bullets, so that the nail bullets release energy and shoot the steel nails directly into the steel matrix, thereby fixing the steel grating. This method is easy to operate, has a good fixing effect, and will not cause significant damage to the steel grating.
4. Round pin fixation
In places where the steel grating needs to be frequently moved for maintenance, round pins can be welded at the four corners where the steel grating contacts the steel beam to prevent the steel grating from moving, so that the steel grating can be lifted at any time.
