This project involved the supply of 200 tons of steel grating for the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Bangladesh. The client required a highly functional and durable grating solution with a complex design, which included patterned steel grating combined with composite steel grating. The goal was to ensure both strength and aesthetic appeal, while addressing specific installation and operational challenges. Our team worked closely with the client to develop a custom solution that met all the technical and logistical requirements.
· Fan-shaped Grating Panels: Each grating panel had to be custom-designed in a fan-shaped configuration, matching the unique openings at the facility. These custom panels required specific molds to ensure they fit perfectly with the onsite openings.
· Easy Handling and Installation: The grating panels needed to be designed with two handles for easier lifting and installation, which added an extra layer of complexity to the design.
· Minimized Obstruction: The handle positions had to be carefully planned. They needed to be convenient for lifting while ensuring they did not interfere with the load-bearing bars of the grating. Additionally, the handles had to be designed so they could sink below the surface when not in use, preventing any tripping hazards for workers.
We developed a custom steel grating solution that met every aspect of the client's needs:
· Custom Fan-Shaped Grating Panels: Given the complex layout of the treatment plant, each grating panel was designed as a fan shape to perfectly match the unique onsite openings. We designed special molds to ensure the grating panels would be manufactured to the exact dimensions required.
· Two-Handle Design for Easy Handling: Each grating panel was equipped with two strategically placed handles for easy lifting and installation. We carefully designed the handle positions to be ergonomically friendly and out of the way of the grating’s load-bearing bars. Furthermore, we implemented a clever solution to allow the handles to sink below the surface when not in use, effectively eliminating any safety concerns such as tripping hazards.
· Composite Grating for Strength and Durability: To meet the plant’s rigorous demands, we used a composite grating design that combined patterned steel grating with additional support features, ensuring the panels were both lightweight for easy handling and strong enough to support heavy loads and withstand harsh environmental conditions.
· Seamless Installation: With the precise custom design, our grating panels fit perfectly into the designated areas, ensuring a smooth installation process. The handles made it easier for workers to position the panels without difficulty, resulting in a faster and more efficient setup.
· Timeline: The project was completed on schedule, with all grating panels delivered on time and within budget.
· Quality Control: We implemented strict quality control measures throughout the production process, ensuring that every grating panel met the required specifications for size, durability, and safety.
